Assureds must give us written notice as soon as reasonably practicable (or immediately – depending on the actual policy wording) of any occurrence that may give rise to a claim under the policy.
Early notification to us is essential so that we can fully investigate all relevant circumstances, provide appropriate assistance to our Assureds and protect them against any third party claimant(s).
Any communication about a claim (including any letter of claim, writ or summons) must be sent to us unanswered immediately upon receipt. If Assureds receive a Claim Notification Form from a Claimant’s Solicitor then they must immediately send a copy to us at: [email protected] and acknowledge by email to the Claimant’s Solicitor that they have done so. If a TMHCC-approved loss adjuster has already been nominated by HCC Underwriting Agency Ltd to handle claims to a policy under a delegated authority, notifications may be made directly to the adjuster.
