Corporate responsibility

TMHCC is a global insurer and sustainability is core to our business, as our products provide protection, reduce risks, and enable financial stability.

We believe that contributing to a sustainable environment, positively impacting our community, providing for our employees, and operating in an ethical manner are essential to our success and our Corporate Responsibility.  To that end, the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) factors across our underwriting operations, investment activity, and corporate culture is important in order to properly assess risks, reveal opportunities, and To Be A Good Company.

ESG Committee

At TMHCC, our ESG Committee is a cross-functional management committee. The committee supports the Company’s commitment to environmental, health and safety, corporate social responsibility, corporate governance, sustainability, and other public policy matters relevant to the Company (collectively, “ESG Matters”).

The group is tasked to assist the CEO in four distinct ways:

  • setting general strategy relating to ESG Matters
  • developing, implementing, and monitoring initiatives and policies based on that strategy
  • overseeing communications with employees and external stakeholders with respect to ESG Matters
  • monitoring and assessing developments relating to and improving the Company’s understanding of ESG Matters

To that end, our Talent, Diversity & Inclusion Committee (TD&I Committee) works directly with the ESG Committee on developing and refining tools and methods for fostering an inclusive, diverse, and developmental work environment, welcoming of a broad range of ideas and viewpoints
