What is a non-intrusive scan?

It’s a scan that we perform of your network that identifies whether your organization is using either Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) or Remote Desktop Gate (PDG) in a way that might be vulnerable to attacks.

Why does it matter?

There is inherent risk in exposing RDP to the internet. Hackers can scan and identify these connections just as easily as we can. New vulnerabilities are identified regularly with RDP and are acted upon immediately by attackers, often before they can be patched. Often times, hackers are able to steal or buy login credentials and use them to access your network RDP. RDP also lacks some basic cybersecurity controls, such as multi-factor authentication, that would otherwise prevent many types of cyberattacks. Many organizations may not be aware that RDP has been enable on their server.
